Excellent bank, easy to set up just link to your bank account. Had no problems moving money either in or out. Staff very helpful on service lines and will sort any problem out without passing you to every department they have. Interest rates are very good for instant access and fix term and covered by the AMF, equiv to FSA.
Second time I have had a saving account with RCI. Interest rate good compared to others and instant access to your funds with no penalties on how many withdrawals you make which is a big advantage. Never had to deal with customer services yet. But the online account system works without issues and my money is in my savings account or cheque account next day when withdrawing or adding funds. Overall cannot fault the service....
RCI bank is a simple and straightforward internet bank. I love the instant access account which pays 1.37% interest. They also have long term deposit accounts, eg one year, two years.
Practically impossible to put money in the account, setup with an initial standing order which did not reach the account and went missing, later found out it had been rejected due to a technicality, they could not read the account it was coming from.Because of this changed the account so the standing order was coming from my wifes account, this worked for a few months until all of a sudden they decided that payments cannot come from an account with a different name and they put my existing funds on hold and began rejecting the weekly standing orders despite having took many by the same method previously.Finally got my funds unlocked and found out instead of just changing the linked account to my personal account so i could continue to save, they had to close the whole account and if i wanted to still use them i would have to apply for a brand new account, the most ridiculous impossible system i have ever come across, the very worst experience with a bank yet, save your self some time and effort and choose a different bank to save with.
